Day 2: Intense 7 Day Detox

Early morning wake up, 6:30am on a Sunday, but off to be inspired by the amazing runners (especially my little sis) at the Scotiabank Waterfront Marathon in Toronto. Knowing that I would be away from home for hours, I steamed 2 cups of vegetables and brought along a huge salad as well as the detox shake. Waiting at the finish line for Steph to arrive, I was the only one mowing down on a huge salad while onlookers gave me weird glances – maybe they thought I was a serious athlete too??
I will say that the smell of the Ultra Clear Renew shake is starting to turn me off (2/10, 10 being the worst)… Just give me three more days on that stuff and we will see how repulsed I am by it. However, just like Buckley’s, it tastes awful but it works!
My appetite is more ravenous today and I’m sure I notice it more because it’s the weekend and I’m not as productive. There hasn’t been one hour where I wasn’t consuming something – 2 cups organic beans, 1 cup spinach and 3 cups of salad. Basically, anything that will fill my stomach and decrease the growling. If it wasn’t vegetables or shakes, it was 1L of herbal tea.
With all the liquid and food intake I suspected that I would be in the washroom all day, but that has not yet been the case. My stomach has been cramping more today and I can feel myself getting a little irritable out of lack of protein, but soon this will all be over. Only 7,200 minutes left to go!
